Cold Drinks for the Hot Summer

We all have our favorite summer beverage....with or without a kick. There is nothing like a nice cold beverage on a hot, scorching summer day.

What do you serve your friends and family to drink during the summer?

The Cocktail - 1 Glass
If you have ever spent much time at my home, you have had this drink. It is so refreshing!
Fill a large glass with CRUSHED ice--to the top
Add cold Fresca until almost full
Add a splash of your favorite Cranberry juice (Cranapple, Cranraspberry, etc. Any combination is delicious.)
To add a kick to this summer beverage, Vodka will do the trick!

Kentucky Lemonade - 1 Glass
1 shot whiskey
2 tablespoons frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
Crushed ice or about 5 ice cubes
1 cup 7-up or Sprite
Maraschino cherries or a mint sprig for garnish

Pour whiskey and lemonade concentrate into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Fill glass with Sprite or 7-Up. Garnish.

In a chilled martini glass, rimmed with sugar and garnished with a lemon wedge, pour:

2 shots pineapple ru
2 shots sweet and sour
2 shots sprite or ginger ale

Swirl around the glass, and enjoy!
